HALIFAX • Woodrow W. Deiter Jr. of Halifax, Pa., (Carsonville) passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019. He was born Sept. 12, 1942, in Jackson Twp., to the late Woodrow W. and Margaret E. Schell Deiter Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran; a graduate of the former Elizabethville High School Class of 1960; and a former member of Carsonville Volunteer Fire Co. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, hunting and loved spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Woodrow is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. Pounds Deiter; sons, Allan E. and wife Marjorie, and Brian M. and Melinda; grandchildren: Michael, Kyle, Emily, Amanda, Trevor, Alex, Malana and Karlie; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert; and a sister, Denise. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel; and a brother, Larry. Honoring Woodrow’s wishes there are no service scheduled.
