William H. Ibberson
LYKENS • William H. “Ibbie” Ibberson of Lykens passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020.
He was born Nov. 29, 1940, at Lewisburg, Pa., to the late Henry W. and Margaret I. Minnich Ibberson.
Ibbie retired as the Corporate Purchasing Manager for Metal Industries.
He was a 1958 graduate of the former Lykens High School.
He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve veteran.
He was an active member of Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 of Lykens, Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen’s Assn., Ashlar Lodge 570 F & AM of Lykens, Tall Cedars of Millersburg and a driver and dispatcher for the former L & W Ambulance Association.
He enjoyed golfing, fly fishing, hunting, playing euchre, physical fitness and traveling.
Ibbie is survived by his wife, Diane K. Hand Ibberson; a son, Chris A. Ibberson and wife Carol; a daughter, Jill D. Williamson and husband Alan; grandchildren, Matt and Andy; great-grandchildren, Noah and Jonah; brothers, John E. and David M. Ibberson; and sisters, Susan I. Gifford, Jan A. and Jane A. Ibberson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Stine.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to “Concerts in the Park,” c/o The Lykens Chamber of Commerce, 550 Main St. Lykens PA17048.
