Monrovia, Calif. • William Aaron “Bill” Wert, born June 23, 1932, in Millersburg, passed away peacefully in the home of his youngest daughter Jan. 17, 2021. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Bill and the former Miriam Rettinger celebrated their 65th anniversary Nov. 22, 2020. They had five children, Dr. Douglas Wert of New Port Richey, Fla., James Wert (deceased), Kathy Wert of Greenwood, Fla., Christopher Wert of Brooksville, Fla., and Wendy Wert of Monrovia, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Andrew, Cheri, Brent, Jeremy, Dr. James, Brittany and Stephanie; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Karl; and one great-great-grandchild, Amore. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Florida when we are able to gather with friends and family. Thanks to everyone for your kindness to our family. Paid by family
