Violet I. Snyder
LYKENS TWP. • Violet I. Snyder, 90, died Aug. 4, 2020, at Tremont Health & Rehab Center.
She was born May 23, 1930, in Lykens Twp., a daughter of the late Ada and Allen Wolfe.
Violet was employed at many local factories and as an aide at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.
She was a member of Zion Klinger’s Lutheran Church, Erdman, where she was involved in many activities and taught Sunday School for many years.
Violet is survived by two sons, Myles Snyder of Williamstown and Neal Snyder of Brodheadsville; a daughter, Sharon Adams of Herndon; a brother, Robert Wolfe of Gratz; three sisters, Twila Geistwite of Lykens Twp., Millie Leffler of Gratz and Carol Ney of Lykens Twp.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Snyder; a son, Mike Snyder; a brother, Bill Wolfe, and one great-grandchild.
A private funeral service for the family was held Aug. 8 at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow.
Interment will take place in the Zion Klinger’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
