LYKENS • Viola Carrie Klinger, 86, of Lykens, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at her son’s home in Gratz. Viola was born Oct. 24, 1934, a daughter of the late Gladys (Potter) and Lester “Teaberry” Dockey. She graduated from the Berrysburg High School in 1952 and was employed first at Troutman Brothers and then Wehry Meats. She was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church and a past member of the Idella Rebekah Lodge No. 58 of Dornsife. Viola is survived by two sons, Dale L., husband of Carol Klinger, of Gratz, and David S., husband of Barbara Klinger, of Lykens; three grandchildren, Chad Kissinger, Adam Klinger and Ashlee Deibert and her husband Richie; six great- grandchildren, Kayla Kissinger, Iain Klinger, Emerson Klinger, Lindsey Deibert, Emily Deibert and Drake Deibert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Harold Klinger, in 2009 and two siblings, Fern Bonawitz and Vernon Dockey. A graveside service at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Klingerstown, will be held at a future date.
