Well before the COVID-19 pandemic became this country’s top health crisis, warnings were being issued about a growing problem of a different nature. Vaping is the delivery of nicotine into the body in a liquid form via a battery-powered ‘‘e-cigarette’’ cartridge that releases vapor into the air when used. Reportedly developed as a ‘‘safer’’ alternative for adults who smoke, it has found favor among a totally different audience – youth under the legal age (21) for tobacco usage. (It is illegal for e-cigarettes or other vaping devices to be sold or bought.) Well under the legal age, in fact.
