Vaccination clinic opens on HACC campus
HARRISBURG • A drive-through, appointment-only COVID-19 vaccination clinic for qualified individuals opened March 22 on the campus of HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College). The clinic is a joint venture of UPMC Pinnacle and the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners, along with other entities.
At this time, the clinic will be open at the HACC West Lot for several weeks, based on the supply of vaccines available from the state Department of Health.
To qualify for the vaccine, individuals must meet the Phase 1A criteria as determined by the state Department of Health. The first vaccines are being administered to those who had previously registered through UPMC Pinnacle. New registrations can be made by logging onto vaccine.upmc.com.
A telephone number – 844-876-2822 – is available for those with no Internet access or other barriers to online registration. (Those able to register online are asked not to call.) UPMC Pinnacle will contact qualified individuals to set up appointments.
