MILLERSBURG • Thomas Elias Lauver, 79, of Millersburg, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon. He was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Tower City, Pa., the son of the late Norman and Hannah (Lebo) Lauver. He retired from Bob’s Radio & TV. He was a member of the Valley’s Evangelical Covenant Church, Halifax, where he served as council president, elder, deacon and treasurer for many years. He also was active in the Halifax Fire and Ambulance Association, where he also served as treasurer, and with the Halifax Area Senior Center and Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Barbara (Kitchen) Lauver; a daughter, Karen Hebert (Scott) of Millersburg; a son, Kyle Lauver (Julie) of Towson, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Trish Herb (Todd) of Pillow; grandchildren, Angela Hebert, Brandon Hebert, Ashley Teal (Todd), Evan Herb, Aidan Herb and Nora Lauver; great-grandchildren, Kali Southard, Aaron Southard, Emali Rankin, Peyton Rankin and Brayden Rankin; and a sister, Jacqueline Neidlinger of Franklin Twp., N.J. He was preceded in death by a son, Kory Lauver; a brother, John Lauver; and an infant sister, Jane Lauver. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
