Thelma M. Klahre

HALIFAX • Thelma M. Klahre, age 78, of Dividing Ridge Road, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. She was born May 29, 1942, in Harrisburg, a daughter of late Ray Kemrer and Evelyn (Shiley) Kemrer and stepmother Helen Kemrer. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay and Dale Kemrer and two sisters, Kay Riggs and Nancy King. Thelma is survived by her husband of 62 years, William R. Klahre Sr.; four children, William Klahre Jr. of Duncannon, Theresa (Charles) Kolva of Halifax, Jeffrey (Denise) Klahre of Halifax and Karen (Jeffrey Sr.) Keys of Halifax; a stepbrother, Terry Shiley; two brothers, Larry and John Kemrer; four sisters, Linda Duey, Laura Grubb, Deb Lathrop and Patti Schaffer; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren She enjoyed spending time with her family, researching family genealogy and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed collecting early American Indian art and collectibles. Funeral services were held April 13, 2021, at Straw’s Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
