MILLERSBURG • Thelma M. Bellis, 89, of Millersburg, passed away Feb. 14, 2019, at Polk Personal Care. She was born Feb. 21, 1929, in Millersburg, the daughter of the late George and Edna (Boyer) Spotts. Thelma was the wife of the late Robert A. Bellis to whom she was married for 64 years. She retired from the former Puritan Fashions in Millersburg. She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family as well as sewing. She taught all of her grandchildren how to sew. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Millersburg. She is suruvived by her three sons: Larry and his wife Deanna, Dennis and his wife Jill, both of Millersburg; Fred and his wife Kim of Elizabethtown; and one daughter Jeanne Troutman and her husband Jere of Millersburg. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren: Heather Fox-Kauffman, Tanya Duttry, Matt Bellis, Dana Bellis, Jennifer Tropeano, Brett Bellis, Daniel Troutman, David Bellis, Kristen Heim and Melissa Long; as well as 22 great-grandchildren with another on the way. She also is survived by sisters Ruth Wentzel of Millersburg and Grace Otto of Valley View. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings: Gladys Hoffman, Myrtle Spotts, Melvin Spotts, Richard Spotts, Mildred Snyder, Erma Spotts and Kenneth Spotts. At Thelma’s request the family will gather for a private graveside service at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
