MILLERSBURG • A strong storm blew significant portions of the roofs off a borough church and business in the early morning hours of April 15. Some of the roof of Hebron United Methodist Church, 347 Market St., could be seen on the street and sidewalk below.
Some windows were blown out of the church, and the spire was damaged. Observers noticed that despite the cross on the spire being battered, it was still intact this week leading up to Easter. Hebron plans to hold its Easter service Sunday, April 21at 8:30 a.m. at the New Life Center, 346 Center St.
Meanwhile, Ark’s Safety’s warehouse, 525 North St., was impacted, and crews worked overnight to assess damage and relocate inventory. No injuries were reported in either incident.
