Susan P. Maletich

WICONISCO • Susan P. Maletich, 69, of Wiconisco, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at the UPMC-Community Osteopathic, Harrisburg, after a 13-day courageous fight against COVID-19. Born June 23 1951, in Lykens, she was a daughter of late George and Ann Kawaski Shreffler. Sue was a 1970 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School. She was a receptionist with Red Fox Enterprises, Elizabeth- ville. Her life revolved around her family, but without a doubt, her grandchildren were her everything. She was the best Nana in the world. She could often be found doing crafts, something she took great pride in. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Shreffler; and a grandson, Alex Mattis. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Joseph T. Maletich; three children, Heather Maletich of Lykens; Cortney Alvord and her husband Larry of Wiconisco and Jarrod Maletich and his wife Tasha of Madison, N.C.; her beloved grandchildren, Bailey Mattis, Jordan and Jayden Maletich; two sisters, Andrea Underkoffler of Lykens and Jeanne Williard of Loyalton; and nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held April 23, 2021, at Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City, with Rev. Lori Betsworth officiating.
