LAVELLE • Steve Thomas Schwalm, 61, of Lavelle, formerly of Valley View, died Feb. 3, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born May 29, 1957, in Pottsville, a son of the late Clair and Ruth Coleman Schwalm. He was a 1978 graduate of Intermediate Unit 29, Mar Lin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a stepmother, Vilma “Mim” Troutman Schwalm. He is survived by four sisters: Claire Nicksic of Lititz, Deborah Schwartz of Hegins, Jodi Spotts of Schuylkill Haven, and Carol Pasirba of Lavelle; a brother, Kevin Schwalm of Pitman; stepmother, Joan Schwalm of Catawissa; and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Sacramento.
