ELIZABETHVILLE • Stephen L. Klinger, age 71, passed away suddenly Dec. 3, 2019, at his residence. He was born March 30, 1948, in Fearnot, the son of the late Chester Klinger and Alberta (Kahler) Klinger, who survives him in Elizabethville. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. He retired from Metal Industries, Gratz. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the Pine Creek Cafe in Klingerstown and was a member of the Gratz VFW Post No. 2385. He is survived by his wife, Marlene G. (Paul) Klinger; sons: Stephen Klinger, Eric Klinger and Todd Klinger; sister, Susan Klinger; grandchildren, Matthew Bean and Jordan Klinger; and great-grandchildren: Addelyna Klinger, Trinnity Klinger, Clay Klinger, Colton Bean and Brantley Bean. He was preceded in death by his father and son, Robert James; brothers, Dave Klinger and Mike Klinger; sisters, Bonnie Klinger, Trudy Klinger and Susan Klinger. There will be a memorial gathering held at the convenience of the family. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Elizabethville, is handling the arrangements.
