SPORTS UPDATE
Here are updates from the district championship and semifinal games played June 1:
DISTRICT 11, CLASS 2A SOFTBALL
Williams Valley defeated Schuylkill Haven 15-0 in three innings for the championship. The Lady Vikings advance to the state tournament beginning Monday, June 7.
DISTRICT 4-2A SOFTBALL
Line Mountain defeated Muncy, 11-0 in the semifinal round. The Lady Eagles face Wyalusing for the championship Thursday, June 3 at Elm Park, Williamsport. First pitch is at 4:30 p.m.
DISTRICT 3-2A SOFTBALL
Upper Dauphin Area lost to Brandywine Heights, 2-1, for the championship. The Lady Trojans still advance to next week’s state tournament.
DISTRICT 11-2A BASEBALL
Williams Valley lost to Schuylkill Haven, 5-1, for the championship.
