ELIZABETHVILLE • Shirley Sue Lebo, of Elizabethville, went to be with her Lord Oct. 20, 2020, while surrounded by her beloved family. Sue was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Klingerstown, Pa., to Fred and Hattie (Bordner) Leitzel. She lived on a farm in Mifflin Twp. for 15 years of her married life, until the death of her husband. She became involved in banking and eventually became secretary to the bank president and board of directors of what was Community Banks. Sue volunteered as an EMT and was a lifetime member of Reliance Hose Co., Elizabethville. She traveled to many parts of the world and loved to go camping. Being a part of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives was of utmost importance to her. She was the widow of Albert “Whitey” Schreffler and Theodore Lebo. She is survived by her son Douglas Schreffler (friend Debbie), daughter Lori Paul, daughter-in-law Beth Schreffler, all of Elizabethville; eight grandchildren, Linda Wolfe (Sam), Bill Schreffler (Kelly), Amy Lentz (Jeff), Jeffrey Welker, Candy Stone (Brock), Sara Schreffler, Kelly Martin (Matt) and Tori Schreffler; 17 great-grandchildren, Justin Mace (Ashley), Tausha Martin, Jacob, Josh, Rebecca and Kyle Wolfe, Christian Fox, Preston Schreffler, Mackenzie, Hunter, Chase and Emma Lentz, Lextin Schreffler, Ella Stone, Mason Krotser, Evelyn Martin and Leona Ball; five great-great-grandchildren, Carson and Alaina Mace, Colton and Lincoln Martin, Liam Wolfe; brothers Robert Leitzel (friend Shirley Miller), Lynn Leitzel (Louise) and sister Jo Heffron (Jack); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Daniel and Donald Schreffler, sister Romaine Botts, brothers Fred Jr., Jim and Bill Leitzel, and companion Al Michael. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at noon at the Halifax Ambulance Building, 31 Bunker Hill Rd., Halifax, Pa. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Berrysburg, Pa.
