MILLERSBURG • Shirley M. Hartman, age 81, of Millersburg, passed away Jan. 9, 2019, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
She was born Shirley M. Wert, Feb. 21, 1937, in Loyalton, daughter of the late Earl Wert Sr. and Florence (Stroup) Wert of Millersburg. Shirley was the widow of Damon M. Hartman of Millersburg, to whom she was married for 48 years. She was a member of Reigle’s Bible Fellowship in Millersburg.
Shirley is survived by a son Wayne Hartman of Millersburg; a daughter Wanda Hockenberry and her husband Dan of Millersburg; a grandson Eric Hockenberry and his wife Rachel of Millersburg; a granddaughter Christy Hockenberry of Elizabethville; a grandson Matthew Hockenberry and his wife June of Cleona, Pa.; and great-grandchildren Caleb, Seth, Aaron, Breeanna, Ethan and Katelyn Hockenberry and Hunter Hoak. She also is survived by a brother Earl Wert Jr. In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Schreiber.
Services were held Jan. 12, 2019, at Reigle’s Bible Fellowship in Millersburg. Burial was after the service in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Reigle’s Bible Fellowship, 158 Reigle’s Church Rd., Millersburg, PA 17061.
