LYKENS • Shirley A. Nye, of Lykens, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at UPMC Hospital, Sunbury, Pa. Shirley was born July 27, 1932, in Millersburg, Pa., to the late Elmer “Single Trigger” and Arlene Schwalm Miller. She was a graduate of Millersburg High School and a member of Jehovah’s Witness Elizabethville Congregation. Shirley was the last of 12 brothers and sisters and is survived by sons: Gary A. Nye and wife Jane, Gerald L. Nye, Kirk R. Nye and wife Julia, Gregory L. Nye and wife Missy; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce F. Nye Sr.; and sons, Bruce Jr. and Timothy A. Nye. Services were private at the convenience of the family. John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, was entrusted with the arrangements.
