Ruth Irene Weaver

HALIFAX • Ruth Irene Weaver, age 103, was called home Friday, May 28, 2021, by the Lord. She was born Sept. 4, 1917, in Halifax, to the late Harvey G. and Elizabeth I. (Shepley) Jury. She was the loving wife of Harry E. Weaver who passed away May 29, 1982. She went to the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Enterline. Ruth worked at Muskin Shoe Co., Millersburg, for 18 years. She enjoyed doing bus trips with her friends. She was a member of the Silver Bells of Enterline and a member of the Farm Women’s No. 10 and a life member of Ladies Auxiliary, Post No. 5750 Halifax. She enjoyed when her grandkids came to see her, she loved them all. She is survived by three sons, Donald and wife Sally, Kenneth and Robert Weaver; brother, Raymond Jury; grandsons, Cory (Lisa), Scott (Tammy), Jeff (Bill), Kenneth Jr. (Brian) and Kerry (Jennifer); granddaughter, Sonya (Rod); great-grandchildren, Victoria, Dyson, Alexsys, Amber, Abigail, Tyler, Hannah and great-great grandchildren, Christopher, Brooke and Olivia. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Schmeltz; brothers, Russell and Lester and gaughter-in-law, Rose Weaver. A public viewing will be held at Calvary Fellowship Church, 1665 Powells Valley Rd., Halifax (formerly St. Paul’s Lutheran Church), Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 10-11 a.m. Services will start at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Messiah Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fisherville. Memorial donations may be made to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Parkway, Suite 110, Mechanicsburg PA 17050.
