LYKENS • Ruth Ann Sims, 81, of Lykens, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. Ruth Ann was born in Klingerstown, May 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Katie (Ramberger) and Stanley Klinger. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark R. “Sonny” Sims, who passed away Aug. 20, 2012. She graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 1957 and retired from the USPS as a mail carrier. She was an active member of St. Peter’s UCC, Lykens, and a longtime Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Farm Women Association. She will be fondly remembered as an active person spending much time with family, friends and attending multitudes of social events. Ruth Ann is survived by a daughter, Doreen Dockey of Harrisburg and her companion Mike Coxen; two sons, Alan Sims of Lykens and Brian, husband of Deanna Sims, of Klingerstown; one son-in-law, Rodney Fenstermacher; one sister, Carol Troutman, five brothers, William, Dean, Don, Dennis and Ron Klinger; six grandchildren, Megan, Kyle, Kurt, Kevin, Tyler and Dylan; 10 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Robert, Remington, Madilyn, Lainey, Owen, Ricky, Emma, Isabella, and Cole; and friend Cindy Schaffer and family. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Fenstermacher, and five siblings, Marian, Stanley, Roy, Glenn and Randy. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, 10­-11 a.m. at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, South Crossroads Rd., Lykens, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s UCC Cemetery, Lykens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s UCC, 1289 South Crossroads Rd., Lykens PA 17048. The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, has charge of arrangements.
