MALTA • Ruby C. Long, 83, died Feb. 15 at her residence. She was born March 21, 1935, in Pillow, a daughter of the late Grace and Louis Kimmel. She worked at many of the local shirt and shoe factories. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Herndon. She was preceded in death by a son, Craig Schreffler. She is survived by her husband, Donald Long; a daughter, Sherrie Barton; five stepsons: Randy, Russ, Rob, Tom and Tim Long; a stepdaughter, Rennee Snyder; two sisters, Jean Klinger and Joan Klinger; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Malta.
