MILLERSBURG • Rosina C. (Tyre-Quillen) Martz, born Nov. 16, 1932, in Delaware, peacefully went to her heavenly home on the 27th day of September 2020, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence in Harrisburg Pa. Rosina was preceded in death by her father Ollie Quillen, her mother Vina A. (Tyre) Justice, a brother Morris “Cap” E. Justice, her loving husband, William C. Martz, and youngest son Millard “Bunk” Smith. Rosina leaves behind four brothers, Harvey Justice, David Quillen, Richard Quillen and Michael Quillen; a sister, Brenda (Quillen) Colegrove; children, Neal C. Smith of Landisburg, Pa., Carrie “Darlene” Wagner of Dillsburg, Pa., and Janice A. Bolze of York Springs, Pa.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Melissa, Toni, Todd and Jessica; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many more very loved extended family and friends. Rosina was an incredibly intelligent, generous, and kind hearted woman. She was once an active member of the church, the ladies auxiliary, and garden clubs. She also enjoyed cooking, working in her herb gardens, making wreaths, sewing and other crafts, 4th of July celebrations in the picnic woods, tea and garden parties, as well as spending time with friends and family. Rosina will be missed by many but memories of her will be sure to live on in the hearts of her loved ones. A viewing and funeral service were held Oct. 3 at St. Luke’s UCC in Malta. Burial was in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks kindly that a donation be made to PBS Public Television of Harrisburg as Rosina loved many of the educational programs they offer. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, is handling the arrangements. To sign the online guest book, go to minnichfuneral.com Paid by funeral home
