LYKENS • Rosalind J. “Ros” Wilson, 69, of Lykens, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at UPMC Pinnacle, West Shore, Mechanicsburg, with her family by her side. Ros was born Oct. 16, 1951, in Lykens, a daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine Bopp Begani. She was a 1969 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School. Following graduation, Ros worked for the Pennsylvania Credit Union for several years. She also worked for the former Shop-N-Play, Lykens. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Lykens. Ros was a very active member and past president of the Parish Council of Catholic Women where she volunteered whenever needed. She sent thousands of cards from the council to shut-ins over the years. Without question, Ros’ life revolved around her family. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Wilson, 2015, and a brother, Andrew Begani Jr., 1952. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Charles C. Wilson; a daughter, Diane Whitcomb and her husband Matthew, of Williamstown; her beloved grandchildren, Kali and Nicholas Whitcomb; Haylee Keister; a sister, Carol Smith of Millersburg; a brother, Joseph Begani of Millersburg; and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at 11 a.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Lykens, with Rev. Michael Opoki, AJ, and Francis Karwacki as concelebrants. Burial was in the parish cemetery. A rosary was recited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady Help of Christian, PCCW, 732 Main St., Lykens PA 17048.
