TOWER CITY • Ronald R. “Ash” Underkoffler, 75, died March 11, at Hershey Medical Center. He was born April 18, 1943, in Pottsville, a son of the late Robert and Ann Schaffner Underkoffler He was a 6-year U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a retired tool and die repairman from AMP/Tyco, Lickdale. He was of the Protestant faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Carl Underkoffler; and two brothers, Dale and Kenny Underkoffler. He is survived by his four children: Shelly Klinger of Williamstown, Jamie Underkoffler of Tower City, and Yvette Pfeffer and Kelly Underkoffler, both of Williamstown; a sister, Lisa Boris of Shenandoah; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services with military honors were held March 15 from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Open Market Fund, 400 E.
