Ronald L. Hoover
MILLERSBURG • Ronald L. Hoover, age 73, passed away, Monday, July 20, 2020, at Premier at Susquehanna Village. He was born Jan. 22, 1947 in Harrisburg, Pa., son of the late Norwood “Turkey”, and Miriam P. (Weaver) Hoover. He was the widower of Kathy (Cunningham) Hoover. Ron was a retired surveyor and had worked for Gannett Fleming Inc., Camp Hill. He also worked at Mr. Rehab Inc. in Mechanicsburg. He had memberships with F& AM and Tall Cedars, Harrisburg. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Ron was a lifetime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Berrysburg. He enjoyed working and providing for his family and church family. His pastimes were collecting coins and playing piano in church. He is survived by two sons, Byron B., husband of Laura Hoover of Stafford, Va., and Brandon B. Hoover of York; daughter, Lori L., wife of John Faust of Elizabethville; six grandchildren, Adam (Laura), Nathan, Abigail, Noah, Jonah and Nory B., and a great grandson on the way and two sisters, Deanna (Leonard) Frankovich of Mechanicsburg and Sharon (Robert) Bond of Millersburg. A private graveside funeral with military honors will be held at the family’s convenience at his church cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Berrysburg PA 17005 Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home Ltd., Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
