HALIFAX • In humble submission to God’s will, we stand with the Karper family to promulgate the transition of Mrs. Roberta Rose Karper. At the beautiful age of 87, our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend transitioned from this life Tuesday March 12, 2019, at the Tremont Nursing Center in Tremont, Pa. Life celebration services will take place Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Ltd, Elizabethville. Elder Neil Sturm will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. Moments of viewing and meditation will take place at noon, prior to the service. Roberta enjoyed her cross country trips in an 18-wheeler with her husband, bowling, her pets, gardening and bird watching. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son W. Thomas Karper and his wife Brenda of Harrisburg; her three daughters: Nancy L. Sturm and her husband Neil of Halifax, Roberta V. Kieffer of Hegins and Deborah A. Braddock and her husband John of Halifax; three sisters: Betty J. Smith, Margaret L. Faletostasi and Helen Stoneroad; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Wilbur O.
