DAUPHIN • Robert W. Adams, age 89, passed away March 31, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 20, 1929, the son of the late Elwood and Mary (Clemens) Adams.
He was a retired master mechanic for MARS candy and had worked in the past for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Robert was also an independent building contractor.
He was a member of Matamoras Bible Church, Halifax, for more than 25 years. He was an active member of the church board.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Vonda N. (Belles) Adams; two sons, Robert Adams, Dauphin, and Jim Adams, Cinnaminson, N.J.; two daughters, Barbara Morrison, Lancaster, and Bette Baer, Elizabethtown; brother, John Adams, Sunbury; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; a daughter, Bonnie Lonski; as well as a brother, Merlin Adams.
Services were held April 5 at Matamoras Bible Church, Halifax, Pa. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
