Robert T. Moyer

HALIFAX • Robert T. Moyer, age 84, of Second Street, passed away Nov. 20, 2018, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Tremont, son of the late Pat and Stella (Hand) Moyer. After 60 years of marriage, his wife, Ruth (Gelencser) Moyer, passed Sept. 11, 2018.
He was a 1949 graduate of Tremont Twp. School.
He had served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and was retired from the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg.
He was a member of Millersburg Assembly of God Church, Millersburg.
Robert enjoyed many sports; his favorite teams were the Harrisburg Senators, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. He enjoyed playing billiards, and while playing pool, he shared many a story.
Surviving are three sons: Terry (Lisa) of Enola, Donald (Dawn) of Lewisberry, and Robert of W. Va.; two daughters, Gloria Shultz (Eugene) and Cheryl Koppenhaver (Craig), both of Halifax; three brothers: Raymond, John Sr. and Donald; six sisters: Beverly Weller, Patrica Holsten, Jean Klinger, Susan Fulkroad, Helen Shadle and Joan Harman. He also is survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 27.
Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert’s memory to the Millersburg Assembly of God Church, 2261 Shippen Dam Rd., Millersburg.
