Robert Leroy Williard
McGAHEYSVILLE, Va. • Robert (Bob) Leroy Williard passed away at his home Aug. 7, 2020, at age 85 and entered into the presence of the Lord.
He was born Aug. 9, 1934, in Jackson Twp., Halifax, Pa. He was the son of the late Leroy and Anna (Wilbert) Williard.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Romaine Worhacz, Joanne Cessna and Carol Williard; and his brothers Donald, Fred and Carl Williard.
His surviving siblings include Nancy Troutman and Linda Smeltz.
Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1957 during the Korean war era.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 404 in Elizabethville, a life member of the Pennsylvania Squadron, Sampson Air Force Veterans Association, Geneva, N.Y.; a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2385 in Gratz and a life member of American Hunting Club.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Elizabethville, Pa., where he was a council member. He was a former director of Maple Grove Cemetery.
He retired from ABF.
He was a great lover of the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
He was the loving husband of Margaret (Enders) Williard for 62 years. Survived by son, Creig Williard; daughter Shelley Williard Lenker and husband Ed; and daughter Christine Williard Clausen and husband Bob; grandson, Jasen Lenker and wife Kristina and grandson Nicholas Lenker and Mallory; granddaughters, Cassandra Williard and Haley Williard, and great-grandsons, Weston and Kaden Lenker.
Burial with military honors will be held at Millers Church Cemetery, Halifax, Pa.
