Robert J. Bryson
HALIFAX • Robert J. Bryson known to many as “Pete” of Halifax passed away surrounded by family Thursday, April 2, 2020, at the age of 70.
Born in Harrisburg, Pa., Nov. 26, 1949, Pete was the son of the late Joseph Bryson and the late Joyce (Jacobs) Bryson.
Pete graduated from Cedar Cliff High School, served in the U.S. Navy for four years and Pa. Army National Guard for 16 years. He retired from Schneider Electric, Mechanicsburg, after 22 years.
Pete was an active member of the Valleys ECC Church, Halifax, where he was part of the choir and dartball team for many years. He coached the Halifax Girls’ Softball League. He also belonged to the American Legion in Halifax.
His interests included flying radio controlled airplanes, photography, various facebook groups, camping and traveling with his wife in their RV.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rachael (Rothermel) Bryson; three sisters, Toni Beshore, Linda Bryson and Tina Kirkpatrick; and two daughters: Brenda Lawrence, married to Matthew Lawrence, and Jessica Bryson. Grandchildren include Caleb Lawrence, Nikolas Lawrence, Kennedi Poteat, Rylee Zerby, Jay Zerby and Jay’s longtime girlfriend, Kylee Egli.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
