TOWER CITY • Robert E. Romberger, 81, died July 27 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Orwin, Sept. 29, 1937, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Peters Romberger. He was a U.S. Marine veteran. He was a retired custodian from Williams Valley School District. He was a member of Calvary Independent Church, Lykens. He is survived by a daughter, Dane Scheib of Tower City; a son, Douglas Romberger of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services with military honors were held at Aug. 5 from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., was in charge of arrangements.
