Rita A. Rummel

HALIFAX • Rita A. Rummel, age 73, of Back Rd., passed away Dec. 19, 2020, at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. She was born Jan. 12, 1947, in Halifax, daughter of the late Alfred and Wauneta (Baker) Rummel. She was a retired publications assistant and had worked at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle. She was also an active member of St. Pauls Lutheran Parish in Enterline, serving on the council, and performing many different functions for the church. Surviving are her son, Mark Rummel; grandson, Christian Sheriff; sister, Marjorie Aleksy; brother-in-law, Charles Aleksy; sister, Patsy Rummel; and nieces, Vikki Hackenburg and Christa Freeburn. There will be a private graveside burial at Bowerman’s Cemetery in Enterline. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, is handling the arrangements.
