ELIZABETHVILLE • Ray D. Schadle, 78, of Elizabethville, formerly of Herndon, died March 20, 2021, at his home. He was born March 26, 1942, in Sacramento, Pa., a son of the late Eva Paul. Ray was employed at Johnson-Baillie Shoe and retired from Butterkrust Bakery. He was a member of Zion Stone Valley Church, Dalmatia, and a life member of Herndon Fire Co. He is survived by his daughter, Lanette Cotner; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Schadle; sisters, Ellen, Effie and Kay; and brothers, Leon, Jim and Russell. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021, 11 a.m.-noon, at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Stone Valley Cemetery, Dalmatia. James A.
