CAMP HILL • Ona E. Matter, age 87, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Halifax, passed away March 24, 2020, at The Woods at Cedar Run in Camp Hill. She was born June 24, 1932, daughter of the late David and Helen Bashore. She was the widow of Darrell W. Matter. Ona was retired from Willit’s Shoe Factory in Halifax. She enjoyed crocheting and loved playing bingo. Ona is survived by her daughter Sheryl Matter of Mechanicsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Ona was preceded in death by her sisters Ruth, Arlene and Mary Ann. The family will hold a private graveside service at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax. A public Memorial Service may be held at a later date, which will be announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to either the Cancer Research Institute at 29 Broadway, Floor 4, New York, NY 10006 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
