NEWS UPDATE: Fort Halifax events called off; won’t be rescheduled.
A March 23 announcement on the Fort Halifax Park Facebook page stated that all events scheduled at the park early in May are canceled and will not be scheduled.
This includes the Fort Halifax Park Colonial Festival, the Appreciation Reception and the Halifax Elementary Fifth Grade Education Day, all scheduled during the period of May 1-2.
‘‘Postponement is not possible due to schedules and commitments,’’ the announcement stated.
