Storms topple trees, postpone events
Heavy rains and winds affected segments of south central Pennsylvania the afternoon of May 29, including parts of the Sentinel’s coverage area.
Camp Hebron, located in Halifax Twp., confirmed that additional damage was done on its property by yesterday’s storm. To date, the facility has lost more than 200 trees between the May 29 event and one earlier this month.
The camp is requesting help from what it called ‘‘professional volunteers experienced with chain saws to help cut up and remove the lumber starting tomorrow, Friday, May 31st.’’ The work is expected to take several days.

Bad weather, or the threat of it, postponed three district championships involving Sentinel-area teams. A fourth game was suspended. See the related post for more details.
