State police at Lykens confirmed that Linda Lira, 73, of Lykens died from injuries she received in a two-vehicle crash Sept. 5 on Route 209, east of Elizabethville.
The crash occurred around 10:47 a.m. near the Tractor Supply store.
According to police, Lira was driving toward Elizabethville when a 2001 Chevrolet Express slowed down in front of her vehicle due to stopped traffic.
Lira’s 2007 Dodge Caliber ‘‘did not attempt to brake or stop as (the Express) was slowing down for traffic conditions,’’ police said in a news release.
Lira was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dauphin County deputy coroner. Police said she was not wearing her seatbelt.
The driver and passenger of the Express declined medical treatment. Police identified them as Fredericksburg residents Yvonne Miller, 45, and an 11 year-old boy. Both were wearing seatbelts, police said.
