Police seek suspect in hit-and-run incident
MILLERSBURG • Borough police said a male driving an SUV is being sought in an alleged hit-and-run that injured a Millersburg Area School District student the morning of Sept. 17.
District staff told police the student, also a male, was struck while using the crosswalk at the intersection of Church and North streets on his way to school between 7:55 and 8 a.m.
The vehicle’s driver allegedly stopped after striking the student, asked ‘‘What are you doing?’’ then drove away, police said in a post on its Facebook page.
The suspect driver is in his 20s or 30s, with a dark complexion and beard. The suspect SUV is black or darker in color. No make or model was reported.
The student was taken for a medical evaluation by his parents, according to police. He reportedly sustained minor bruises.
