VALLEY VIEW • Nancy J. Buffington, 85, died Feb. 12 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1933, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Paul Long and Florence Lupold. She was a floor lady in area garment factories prior to her retirement. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, and a member of Ashland Chapter No. 154 Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Buffington. She is survived by a son, Barry Buffington of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a daughter, Trudy Charles of Halifax; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services were held Feb. 16 at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Gratz. Contributions may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ, P.O.
