Miriam A. Shaffer
MILLERSBURG • Miriam A. Shaffer, 87, passed away Jan. 17 at Premier at Susquehanna Village.
She was born April 9, 1931, in Millersburg, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Fogel) Jury.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Killinger.
Miriam was the widow of the late Allen R. Shaffer.
She is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Tami of Gratz, daughter-in-law Karen Shaffer of Marble, Pa., two grandchildren, Ryan Shaffer and his wife Kiara of Elizabethville and Katelyn Shaffer of Gratz, and a great-grandson Grayson.
She was preceded in death by a son Richard E. Shaffer, three brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
The family requests donations be made to Salem Lutheran Church, PO Box 331, Millersburg, PA 17061.
