Mildred M. Rothermel
MILLERSBURG • Mildred M. Rothermel (Meme), 91, of Millersburg, passed away May 14, 2020, at Premier at Susquehanna.
She was born May 27, 1928, in Brilliant, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Ida Neiter.
She was retired from Johnson Baillie Shoe Co. and Tower Sales.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Millersburg for more than 60 years and served as sexton and communion steward for many years.
She was well known for her famous peanut butter fudge and sharing it with anyone who knew her. She loved working outdoors in the yard and spending as much time as possible with her family.
Surviving are son, Darin (Mary) Evans; daughters, Karen (Skip) Herman, Darla (Mike) Shaffer, Tami (Mark Heintzelman; grandchildren, Kylie Evans, Patti, Charles, Michael, William and Stephen Herman, Taneile Shaffer, Brooke Shaffer Jury, Steven, Simon and Stacey Heintzelman; great-grandchildren, Ambria, Trentyn, Aliyah, Brielle, Maddox, Michelle, Shawn, Stephanie, Zachary, Jordan, Noah, Hunter, Rylee, Regan, Hannah, Gracie, Duke, Kamdyn, Leiam; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Feidt Teats; brother, Louis Neiter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; brothers, Donald, Earl, Howard and Ray Neiter; sisters, Faye and Helen; stepson, Kenneth Jr.; granddaughter, Makelle Evans.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rife, along with her late husband, at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 356 Union St., Millersburg PA 17061, or Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way
