LYKENS • Mary Lou Hoffman, age 89, died June 20, 2021, at Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg. She was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Porter Twp., Schuylkill County, to the late Henry Bartlett and Mary D. (Cooper) Reinhard. Mary Lou was a graduate of the former Lykens High School, Class of 1950. She retired as a teller from the former Miners Bank of Lykens; was a member of the Lykens United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed Scrabble, traveling, winters spent in Florida and time spent with her family. Mary Lou is survived by sons, Craig H., Larry S. (Ann), Dale L. (Julia), and Richard P. (Tracy) Hoffman; sisters, Kathryn Erdman and Carol Hahn; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester G. Hoffman; grandson, Sean R. Hoffman; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Reinhard; and brothers, Clyde and John “Jack” Reinhard. Funeral services were held June 28, 2021, from the Lykens United Methodist Church, 527 N. Second St. Lykens Pa., with Rev. Dr. Lori Betsworth officiating. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Wiconisco. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary Lou’s name may be made to her church at the above address.
