HALIFAX • Marvin Headdings Jr., 86, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place July 15, 2020. He entered this world June 18, 1934, in Erdman, Pa., born to the late Marvin and Lucy (Williard) Headdings. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elsie R. (Fahnestock) Headdings at home; his children, Marvin III “Skip” (Diane) Headdings, Brian (Nancy) Headdings and Karen (Robert) Osenbach; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise (Headdings) Nolt. Marvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as aircraft maintenance specifically helicopter mechanic with the 503rd Aviation Co., spending time at Bonames Army Airfield in Germany. He was a life member and the last of the founding deacons of Word Of Life Chapel, Halifax. Marvin enjoyed hunting, was mechanically inclined and a machinist by trade. He retired from Puritan Fashions/Calvin Klein of Millersburg. He was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America for many years. Private services with full military honors will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa.
