MILLERSBURG • Marilyn Joyce Gunter-Egli, age 83, of Millersburg, Pa., passed away June 30, 2019, at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. She was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Reading, Pa., daughter of the late Robert Glass and Loretta Brown (Hopp). Marilyn was a retired secretary who worked for Metal Industries for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge. Marilyn loved to read, especially James Patterson novels. She also adored her cats and dogs. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Chester Egli of Millersburg; sons, Mark Michael of Etters and Brian Michael of Henderson, Nev.; daughters, Debra Weaver of Elizabethville and Teresa Michael of Harrisburg; a stepson, Brian Egli of Mansfield; step-daughters, Valarie of Reading and Kimberly of Halifax; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Barton Glass of Reading; and a sister, Michelle Werner of Reading. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by a son, Martin Michael of Etters. Memorial services were held July 9 at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Marilyn’s honor to the American Heart Association at 1019 Mumma Rd., Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
