Mae Ellen Neumeister

MILLERSBURG • Palm Sunday evening, March 28, 2021, Mae Ellen Neumeister, 84, of Millersburg, went with Jesus to be with our father God in Heaven. She was surrounded by family and friends to see her home. Mae was born Nov. 16, 1936, in Klingerstown, a daughter of the late Calvin and Mazie Shadle Clark. Mae had several jobs during her lifetime including Muskin Shoe Factory and Alvord Polk, but will be remembered for her love of babysitting for her family. Her family was the center of her world. She was a member of Reigles Bible Fellowship Church, Millersburg. and the American Folk Music Association. She enjoyed square dancing, playing bingo, family game night, watching baseball and Penn State football. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey “Sonny” Neumeister; a sister, Violet Maurer; and brothers, Francis, Willard and Dennis Clark. Surviving are a daughter, Yvonne “Yonnie” Miller and her husband Brian of Millersburg; a son, Glenn Neumeister and his wife Elaine of Dornsife; two sisters, Pauline Mace of Dornsife and Joan Bordner of Millersburg; two brothers, Roy Clark of Klingerstown and Jim Clark of Berrysburg, four grandchildren, Preston and his wife Bridget Bergey, Alexa and her husband Ivan Zakaszewski, Kyle and his wife Claire Miller and Colby Neumeister; three great-grandchildren, Gage and Gannon Bergey and Jensen Zakaszewski; and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Mae’s life was held April 2, 2021, at Reigles Bible Fellowship Church, Millersburg, with Pastor Benjamin Brown officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. Memorial donations in Mae’s name can be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg PA 17110. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Tower City, handled arrangements.
