MILLERSBURG • Mae E. Wolfgang, 97, of Millersburg, formerly of Berrysburg, passed away Jan. 10, 2021, at her home with her family. She was born May 15, 1923, in Millersburg, a daughter of the late Carrie and Daniel Strohecker. Mae lived her life as a faithful child of God and follower of Jesus — devoted to her faith, family, friends and her church. She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking meals and baking for her family; traveling and attending gospel music concerts (especially the Christianaires and the Vigilaires featuring her sons). She loved spending time with and laughing with those she loved … and if she met you, she loved you. A true prayer warrior and a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She was an example of faithfulness and will be dearly missed until we reunite in heaven someday. Mae was employed as a food service worker at Lenkerville Elementary School for many years. She was a loyal member of Good Shepherd E.C. Church, Gratz. Mae is survived by her husband; Alfred Wolfgang; three sons, Dale (Laura) Erdman, Keith (Louise) Erdman and Randy (Diane) Wolfgang; two daughters, Kathy Cooper and Deb (Roger) Johns; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Martha (Ralph) Bohner; sister, Helen (Paul) Sholley, and niece Doris (Chester) Wise. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Blair Erdman; their infant daughter, Karen Erdman; sisters, Mary Strohecker, and Margaret (Clarence) Derk; brother, Walter Strohecker; and grandson Darrell (Dale and Laura) Erdman. A funeral service was held Jan. 14, 2021, at Good Shepherd EC Church, Gratz. Interment was at the God’s Missionary Cemetery, Lykens Twp.
