Madeline “Dolly” Puljer Marr

MILLERSBURG • Madeline “Dolly” Laura Elizabeth Puljer Marr of Millersburg passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at her home. Dolly was born in Philadelphia May 15, 1945, a daughter of the late Louis and Gladys Puljer. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Philadelphia. In 1976 she and her family moved from Hatboro to Millersburg to farm. She was a member of the North/South Skirmish Association and a volunteer for the 56th Pennsylvania infantry. She also served as the secretary/treasurer of the Pig Pen Incorporated. She was employed by Witmer Motors, USF&G and spent her pre-retirement years with William’s French Fries on the Square in Millersburg. Dolly enjoyed socializing as one of her favorite pastimes, and she was always ready to tell you about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren if given the chance. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan and a lover of animals of all kinds. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Liam in 1974. She will be remembered by her husband of 55 years, Joseph; two children, Coleen (Brian) Leitzel, Millersburg, and Brendan (Kelly) Marr, Milllersburg; a brother Louis Puljer II, Philadelphia; eight grandchildren, Alicia (Adam) Hoke, Zachary Leitzel, April Owen, Christopher Woods, Bailey Woods, Heather Sherrill, Linsey Sherrill and Nicholas Sherrill; three great-grandchildren, VeraLee, Vincent and Ainsley; a niece and two nephews. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Tower City, has been entrusted with the private funeral arrangements.
