HERNDON • Lynn H. Gaw, age 72, of Herndon, Pa., passed away March 25, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville from acute myeloid leukemia. He was born Sept. 10, 1946, in Danville, Pa., son of the late Kenneth and Jeanette Gaw. Lynn was the husband of Jane Trometter Gaw. They were married for 51 years and lived in Herndon. Lynn was a graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School in 1964 and Williamsport Community College in 1966. He was the owner/operator of Riverfront Transportation in Herndon. Lynn served six years in the Army National Guard. Lynn was very supportive of his grandchildren, attending all of their sporting events. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Lynn is survived by a son Michael (Karen) and a daughter Tracy Schreffler (Chad), both of Herndon; four grandchildren Colton, Cameron and Kailey Gaw and Alex Schreffler; a sister Linda Huie (Don) of Lakeland, Fla.; his mother-in-law Ruth Trometter; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg from 9-11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brad Hatter officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lynn’s honor to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at 101 Erford Rd., Suite 201, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
