HALIFAX • Lewis Lamar Ramberger, age 90, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 15, 2019, at Geisinger Holy Spirit, Camp Hill. He was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Klingerstown, son of the late Charles and Edna (Knorr) Ramberger. He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division from 1953-55. After retiring from Harrisburg Steel, he enjoyed working several more years as a groundskeeper at the Blue Ridge Country Club. He was a longtime member of Davids Community Bible Church, Millersburg. Lewis enjoyed gardening and was meticulous with his lawn care and in all that he did. He also enjoyed cooking for his family. He was a member of the Millersburg American Legion and Halifax Historical Society, He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joanne (Snyder) Ramberger; three children, Sharon Hoffman and husband, Keith, Halifax, Craig Ramberger, Bradenton, Fla., and Brian Ramberger and wife, Terri, Sinking Spring; two sisters, Anna Lang, Ocala, Fla., and Betty Snyder, Millersburg; five grandchildren, Josh Hoffman, Jeff Hoffman, Nicole Williams, Brian Ramberger Jr. and Shae Ramberger; and two great-grandchildren, Declan Williams and Logan Hoffman. He was preceded in death by eight brothers, John, Clayton, Guy, Forrest, Ammon, Harold, Allen and Willard and four sisters, Hilda, Edith, Ruth and Susie. Services were held at his church Friday, Sept. 20. Burial with military honors was in the church cemetery.
