Lester A. Walsh

HALIFAX • Lester A. Walsh, 82, of Halifax, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Premier at Susquehanna, Millersburg. He was born Jan. 16, 1937, a son of the late Lester F. and Margaret (Minnick) Walsh. He was retired from UGI, Inc. Lester was a faithful member of Armstrong Valley Bible Baptist Church, Halifax, enjoyed walking, was known for his great sense of humor, but his favorite thing was being with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers Thomas L. Walsh and Gerald F. Walsh. Surviving are his wife Edith G. (Frye) Walsh, his daughter Mariann L. Stiely and her husband Steven of Duncannon, two sons Robert L. Walsh and his wife Jessie of New Bloomfield and Joseph M. Walsh and his wife Valerie of Lykens; a sister Joan “Tootsie” Disante of Camp Hill; two grandchildren Kara Stiely-Matter and her husband Jacob, and Caleb Walsh. A memorial service was held May 3, 2019, in Armstrong Valley Bible Baptist Church, 2041 Armstrong Valley Rd., Halifax, PA 17032. Arrangements were under the care of Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 325 N. High St., Duncannon, PA 17020.
